Binding Agreement

By accessing or using Clean Kingdom services, including but not limited to:

  • Booking online via our website,

  • Calling (442) 245-7879,

  • Contacting any Clean Kingdom employee, or

  • Scheduling through a third-party booking platform,

you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, refrain from engaging with Clean Kingdom or scheduling any services. The act of booking with us is the act of agreeing to our Terms Of Service.

Note we do not allow bookings unless you have completed our booking form and viewed our booking page. This page includes our hourly pricing and our Terms Of Service. It is not possible to have booked with us without having been introduced to our locked pricing and our terms of service.

Right to Refuse Service Or Stop Communication

Clean Kingdom reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services or communication at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns, dirty location, clutter at the location, inappropriate behavior, unsafe property conditions, or lack of client cooperation. Employees may leave a location at their discretion. If a job is ended early, the client will be billed on a pro-rated basis for time worked.

Payments

Payment is due on the day of service by credit or debit card.

  • Cash and checks are not accepted. Employees are not authorized to accept payments directly.

  • Invoices are sent electronically; unpaid balances may be charged to the card on file within 24 hours of service completion.

Pricing

All rates are based on hourly billing, with a two-hour minimum.

Satisfaction Is Not Guaranteed

We do not guarantee satisfaction. We have no obligation to perfectly clean your home. If there are complaints, we will have our cleaners receive the client’s input and stay to clean until the client is satisfied. We simply clean for a duration that is guided by the client until the client is satisfied and if the client isn’t present, our cleaners will clean until they feel the cleaning is acceptable, not until the cleaning is perfect.

Service Duration and Client Presence

Clients or their representatives must be present during and at the end of the appointment to provide guidance and confirm completion.

  • While clients may request a specific time frame, Clean Kingdom does not guarantee that services will go for the amount of time requested. We are an hourly service. If our cleaners clean for more time than requested, you will be billed for total time we cleaned not just for the amount of time requested. It is the clients responsibility to stop the cleaning at their desired time therefore if we go over the amount of time requested, you will be billed for the additional time.

  • If service ends due to an enforced time cap by the client, understand that may mean the cleaning is incomplete.

Walk Through Required

A final walkthrough with the client is required at the end of service. If there are complaints, we will have our cleaners receive the client’s input and stay to clean until the client is satisfied. Clients who decline or are unavailable waive the right to later dispute service quality. Our cleaners may not be able to search the property to find the client so please be sure to be accessible near the end of the cleaning appointment. If the client is not readily available, we may leave and deem the cleaning complete.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

  • Cancellations or reschedules require at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations with less notice are subject to a $70 fee.

Add-On Services

If you would like an “Add-On Service” then please request it ahead of the appointment and at the beginning of the appointment. Our standard cleaning protocol does not typically include “Add-On Services”. Please see our check list here: https://www.cleankingdom.us/checklist.

Cleaning Day Preparation

We ask that you take a few minutes to tidy up to allow the cleaners easy access to the areas/surfaces to be cleaned: floors, counter-tops, tabletops, etc. Clients are responsible for ensuring that areas scheduled for cleaning are reasonably accessible and free of excessive clutter prior to the start of service. Clean Kingdom does not provide junk removal, hoarding cleanup, or organization of large piles of items. Our services are focused on standard residential and commercial cleaning only. If a property is not prepared ahead of time or contains excessive clutter, we may adjust the scope of work, charge additional time, or decline service at our discretion.

Excessively Dirty or Unsafe Locations

Clean Kingdom reserves the right to decline service at any property we determine to be excessively dirty, unsanitary, unsafe, or otherwise outside the reasonable scope of standard cleaning. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Presence of mold, pests, or infestations

  • Accumulated trash, junk, or hoarding conditions

  • Unsanitary conditions involving bodily fluids, hazardous materials, or strong odors

  • Unsafe environments that could pose health or safety risks to our staff

If we choose, at our discretion, to proceed with cleaning under such conditions, the client acknowledges and agrees that results are not guaranteed. Excessive dirt, damage, or buildup may limit the effectiveness of cleaning, and Clean Kingdom makes no promise of satisfaction in these cases.

For the health and safety of our employees, Clean Kingdom does not clean or remove urine, fecal matter, vomit, blood, or any other bodily fluids or biological waste. If such conditions are present, service may be refused or discontinued immediately.

Items We Cannot Clean

  • Extremely Dirty Areas.

  • Mold. Mold removal is a specialty, a service we do not offer.

  • Hoarding homes or areas with mass clutter.

  • Urine and Fecal Matter.

  • Areas containing any animal or human body fluids i.e. blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages, urine, excretions, etc.

  • Fragile and/or expensive items and household pieces.

  • Any area above 8 feet high.

  • Areas with leaks or water intrusion.

  • Anything deemed inappropriate or risky.

  • Anything that is damaged beyond cleaning i.e. marks on a wall that can only come out as a result of construction.

  • Outside a home. Out workers compensation does not cover outside the home.

Dishes & Laundry On Location

  • Dishwashing and laundry folding may be offered at our discretion.

  • Laundry service can take all day long to complete. We find this is not ideal for us or our client. The cost of service can double and it disrupts our schedule so we officially only offer a laundry folding and hanging services. We kindly ask you to do the washing and drying and have the laundry ready for folding when we arrive. We will fold or hang the laundry per your guidance.

  • Clients acknowledge inherent risks of damage and release Clean Kingdom from liability related to these services.

Cleaning Supplies

  • Clean Kingdom provides supplies, mostly ECO friendly cleaning products, and equipment. We typically only use heavy non-ECO friendly cleaning products if the area involves grime and hard to clean surfaces. If this is an issue, please inform us and we will be sure to only use the ECO friendly products.  

  • Clients requesting use of their own products or equipment assume full liability for damages or performance issues.

Cleaning During Active Construction

Our cleaners will assess the property upon arrival. If active construction is taking place during the scheduled cleaning time, Clean Kingdom may decline service at our discretion. If we do accept the job, the client acknowledges that cleaning results will be limited and no satisfaction guarantee applies. Construction dust, debris, and ongoing work may prevent our team from performing a thorough cleaning, and any dissatisfaction under these circumstances is not the responsibility of Clean Kingdom. Clients are advised not to schedule cleaning during active construction unless they are willing to accept these limitations.

Post-Construction Cleaning

Clean Kingdom does not generally accept post-construction cleaning projects. If a property is determined upon arrival to require post-construction cleaning and this was not disclosed in advance, service may be declined. Post-construction cleaning typically requires specialized equipment, extended time, and pricing significantly higher than standard or move-out cleaning. Clients should make alternative arrangements for dedicated post-construction cleaning services.

Unreachable Areas and Heavy Items

For safety and liability reasons our employees can’t climb higher than a step stool, treat an area higher than 8 feet, or work outside of your home. Cleaners can’t move objects more than 35 pounds, if you would like cleaning behind heavy objects, please move prior to cleaning. If you request such services our employees are instructed to decline. If we do decide to have our cleaners either clean a hard to reach area or move a heavy object described herein then please understand , by booking with us, you are taking a risk of dissatisfaction and that you understand you may not be entirely satisfied with the cleaning results and you agree to not hold us liable for damages.

Damage Claims

While an occurrence is rare, the possibility of breakage or damage may happen as a result of our cleaning. Note we train our cleaners to exercise reasonable care when cleaning your home. In the instance you feel a Clean Kingdom employee is responsible for a damaged item then please document the complaint via photo and video that includes time, date, circumstance, and your reason for believing it is the fault of our employee. Notification must be made within 24 hours of breakage/loss of any personal items otherwise we are not liable. We will assess the accusation and react accordingly. If we find we are the source of the problem then we intend to react with integrity. Identical replacement is always attempted but not guaranteed.

Expensive Items

Do not ask Clean Kingdom to clean, handle, or get near expensive items. If you request our cleaners to clean, handle, or get near an expensive item then you are taking a risk of the goods becoming damaged and you agree you will not hold Clean Kingdom liable for any damages. If you anticipate our cleaners needing to be in an area where there are expensive goods then please remove them from the premises before our cleaning appointment and instruct them to stay away from that item and area. If you do not inform us there is a valuable item to proceed with caution with then how are we supposed to know to either decline to handle it or proceed with caution? It is your responsibility to provide guidance. If you do not do this then we are not liable for that damaged item. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

In addition to the circumstances describes in our Terms Of Service we are not liable for damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper installation of an item in your home, artwork, collectibles, or family heirlooms not disclosed during the booking process, these items include but are not limited to artwork, collectibles and family heirlooms etc. : These items are expensive and impossible to replace, the client should point out such items to us before starting service, please advise us how you would like your fragile items handled & their care.

Thievery Accusations

Before making this statement please note we do extensive background checks and heavily vett before hiring our employees. We do everything we can to ensure we send non-threatening and trustworthy people into your home. However, if you make an accusation of thievery, you need to have video evidence of the theft. To say “I left a watch on the counter before they got there and it was gone when they left” is not enough for us to accuse an employee of thievery, sue for damages, and fire them. You must provide physical evidence so that we may present this evidence in a court of law and to our insurance carrier. If you have loose items such as jewelry, electronics, or other items of value we kindly ask you put them in a drawer, cabinet, or safe before our cleaners arrive. If you do not provide video evidence of your accusation then you agree we are not responsible or liable for the stolen goods. Do not book with us if you are not okay with this.

Before and After Photos and Video

We instruct our employees to take before and after photos and videos of all of our locations. These recordings display the condition of the location before we begin cleaning and after we are done cleaning. They are critical for us to be able to prove we have performed as promised and that we left location in good condition. By booking with us you agree to allow us to take the before and after pictures and videos of your home. If you are not okay with this then do not book with us as we are not willing to compromise on this policy.

Recordings

We record all phone calls. We instruct our employees to record all interactions while on the property. This is done for employee safety, proof of disputes, and to evaluate their communications and performance. By booking with us you agree to allow us to take video and audio recordings of you and your home during the time we are in your home. If you are not okay with this then do not book with us as we are not willing to compromise on this policy.

Pets

Clean Kingdom is a pet-friendly company and we respect that many of our clients have animals in the home. For the safety of your pets and our cleaners, the following policies apply:

  • Containment: All pets must be secured or contained during the scheduled cleaning. This includes crating, placing them in a closed room, or otherwise ensuring they do not interfere with cleaning activities.

  • Safety: Clean Kingdom is not responsible for the safety or supervision of pets left unattended. We cannot guarantee that doors, gates, or fences will remain pet-secure during service.

  • Behavior: If a pet is aggressive, overly protective, or creates unsafe conditions for our staff, we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service.

  • Accidents: We do not clean pet urine, feces, vomit, or other pet-related biohazards. Any such conditions must be addressed by the client before service.

  • Liability: Clients are fully responsible for any injury or property damage caused by their pets during the course of our service.

Booking Confirmation

Booking service online doesn’t guarantee you a spot for that date/time, you will be contacted by phone call, text, or email by a Clean Kingdom representative who will set up your appointment after determining a price and job details. Once you have a time arranged as a result of conversation with a Clean Kingdom representative, you can count on the appointment being booked. Typically we quickly text an appointment confirmation.

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds, we have built our business providing our clients with the best possible service available, still, we realize that we are human, things will from time to time get missed, should this happen email or call us and we will see what we can do to remedy the situation.

Lockouts

The client shall make the service location accessible to Clean Kingdom personnel on the scheduled service day. If the team is locked out of the Client’s home, every effort will be made to establish contact with the Client to arrange for entry into the home, if contact is not made within 20 minutes of the arrival of the cleaning team, the scheduled cleaning will be skipped and you will be charged $70 late cancellation fee, this fee is necessary to compensate the employees for unexpected lost revenue, time, and travel, to avoid the fee provide us with a key or code to gain entry to your home.

Alarm

If your home is equipped with a security system, please ensure that it is in the off position or call our office with the code and proper directions for use. If the code should change please let us know so you do not incur a lockout charge.

Cleaners Arrival Window

We schedule our cleanings in an order that requires the least amount of drive time in an effort to maintain low prices & avoid trip fees, if you require a specific time we will make every effort to accommodate your request, however, no times are guaranteed.

Due to the unpredictable nature of our business & unforeseen circumstances traffic jams, weather, mechanical problems, allow us the flexibility of scheduling our cleaning between 8:00 am & 6:00 pm.

We generally do not run more than 10 minutes earlier nor more than 45 minutes later than the scheduled appointment time, if we are running late we will call you and/or text you.

Holidays

Clean Kingdom does not do holiday visits.

If your scheduled day falls on a holiday, we will contact you to reschedule, the following holidays will be observed:

  • Independence Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Black Friday

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day

  • New Year Eve

  • New Year

Inclement Weather

We will be closed for business when weather conditions prevent local School Districts from opening.

Key Release

Client keys are coded and stored inside a locked cabinet to which only the managers of Clean Kingdom have access.

In the event the client chooses to leave a door unlocked or place a key under a mat or any other unsecured place for the cleaners to gain entry into the home, Clean Kingdom will not be held liable for any damages or theft to the client home.

Upon termination/cancellation of services, Clean Kingdom shall return any client key(s) in its possession no later than 48 hours after termination of services or the next business day.

Defamation

Clients agree not to engage in defamatory statements or public disparagement of Clean Kingdom. Disputes should be addressed directly with Clean Kingdom management.

Liability

Upon booking with Clean Kingdom you agree to release Clean Kingdom from any and all types of liabilities. If you are not okay with this then do not book with Clean Kingdom. This statement is dated June 17th 2023. Note we care about customer satisfaction and, as a result, we might choose to wave this Term Of Service and compensate you for damages.

Non-Solicitation

Clients may not solicit or hire Clean Kingdom employees directly. Significant investment is made in employee training, and violations of this policy may result in legal action.

Customer Complaints

Complaints must be filed within 48 hours of service completion. Clean Kingdom may provide corrective services at its discretion if complaints are received within this window. After 48 hours, additional service must be booked.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the States of California and Florida.
